The Trojan volleyball season is in full swing. They are currently third in the conference with a win-loss streak of 11-11 overall and 3-1 conference play.

While Varsity Volleyball lacks seniors on the roster this year, the 2022 team is a force to be reckoned with. Junior outside Hannah Tagel leads the team in digs with 188 total. Abree Plueger is killing it on the outside with a total of 159 kills. Middle blockers, Kate Roseland and Brooklyn Stehlik, are defending the net perfectly.

The team as a whole has great statistics. Their serving aces are over 150, they have 74 assisted blocks documented, and over 600 kills, and much more.

Next week they have the well known “Dig Pink” game – a fundraiser to support cancer patients and survivors. The girls spend the week doing bonding as well as hosting a “secret sister” program nicknamed “breast friends.” Through the breast friend program they learn more about their teammates and have fun trying to guess who their breast friend is.

At the “Dig Pink” game they will also fundraise with gift baskets that spectators can bid on. The baskets are themed and created by the girls.

The volleyball conference tournament is on Friday, October 8th.
