The Platteview High auditorium was dressed with plants encased in red fabric, a fresh look to the stage and podium. The 2019 Baccalaureate was held on May 5th, 2019. This ceremony is held annually for sharing Bible verses, a song selection, and a speaker. This year, Janelle Sorenson and Michelle Kalin, along with multiple senior parents, planned the Baccalaureate, and Jamel Roach from Bellevue Campus Life was the guest speaker.

The ceremony had multiple instances of student-led procedures. Seniors Jayden Sorenson and MacKenzie Loncke read verses and gratitudes during the program. Elizabeth Iverson, MacKenzie Loncke, Alyssa Riha, Kielee Costello, and Kaleigh Koehler added to the event as they sang “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
