These sixteen young individuals may have different visions, but they are all are working towards a common goal: strengthening the school community through positive change. As junior Class President Nearly H. Islas said, “I ran for class president to make a change to our school. It seems to always be a popularity contest. So, I ran to show that an average person can impact our school in a positive way.” Similarly, freshman Class President Baily Korenoski aspires, “My visions for the freshman class is for everyone to get closer to each other and have a really fun year together. I want everyone to feel welcome and that they are important and belong.” Here at Platteview, these class officers are striving to be the change.
