Many of the students in esports are dedicated to what they do. Many show their dedication through participating in events, working concessions, or help run fundraising campaigns for the club. This all couldn’t have happened without the hard work and dedication from Conner Shelbourn (12), Addysen McClintock (10) and Alanna Clontz (12), the student officers. They are the ones who organize, fundraise, recruit, and compete in the club, helping make everything possible for the team and club to be successful.
What does it mean to be a member of the Esports team? As a team, they foster teamwork, critical thinking, and communication with one another. They always support each other as they learn and work through game plays. “The goal of esports is to prepare students for future opportunities, both academically and professionally, by cultivating collaboration, resilience, and a passion for innovation,” explained Mr. Mahoney, Esports coach.
