Platteview offers a wide variety of classes to its students, from Journalism to Welding, Foods class to Computer Science. After four years full of core classes and electives, a multitude of skills have built up in the Trojans about to move on to the next stage of their lives. Platteview’s seniors comment on what they’ve learned that will help them post-graduation.
Caden Schram: “Staying on top of work is the best thing you can do because if you let yourself fall behind it is harder than what it would have been if you just did it. This turns to all aspects of life.”
Jon McDonald: “I think something like in English and Science, where although they may not help specifically, it helps change the way we think about things, which changes for the good in how we can make decisions and problem solve.”
Anne Poole: “How to work a camera. I might pick up photography on the side to help with college and other funds.”
Dakota Martin: “I learned how to frame walls and finish drywall thanks to Mr. Bos.”
Abree Plueger: “Business classes, considering I will be getting my business degree.”
Reese Morrison: “How to build a good credit score in Personal Finance.”
Tiffany Otterness: “I learned the correct way to write an essay. This will help a lot in college.”
When looking ahead to the future laid before them, Trojan seniors are backed by Platteview’s preparation and support when it comes to graduation. High school is where learning shapes not just minds, but shapes futures.
