A great way to get involved and meet new people is to join a fall sport. At Platteview High School, there are five fall sports: football, volleyball, softball, cross country, and girls golf.

The coaches of Platteview’s fall sports include Chris Stier (football), Shae Speth (volleyball), Adam Theel (softball), Robin Marshall (cross country), and Jim Jennings (Girls Golf). Without these coaches the sport teams would not be complete.

Quick Recap: Volleyball, softball, and football recently had their first scrimmage. The softball team had an amazing red and white scrimmage. Boys baseball recently won state in August.

From the student athletes: “Softball is a great opportunity to make new friends,”  said softball team member Jaedyn Morley. Cross country member Stephen George said “The cross country team is like a family.”

For those who are interested in supporting Platteview’s fall sports, there will be a home football game at 7:00 P.M. on August 24th. On August 25, 2018, Cross Country has a home meet and volleyball has an away game at Plattsmouth at 8:00 A.M. Softball has a varsity tournament at Plum Creek at 9:30 A.M.

Good luck to Platteview’s fall sport teams for the 2018-2019 season!
