Spanish 3 and 4 students crowded into Millard West on Friday, November 2nd, excited to watch Edgar René perform. For Laura Kinney, the concert was a new experience, as she has not “been to many concerts,” especially one where the entertainment was in a different language. Spanish teacher Mrs. Ehrke believes the concert is a great way to bring learning the language outside of the classroom, because it gives the students a “real world opportunity to use [the language].” By participating in this activity, Platteview World Language participants can expand their learning experience somewhere away from the desks.
