The Platteview Boy’s Basketball team recently had two games held on December 14th and 15th, 2018. The boys lost their game against Blair (December 14th, 2018), but won their game against Gross Catholic on December 15th, 2018. Both the boy’s and girl’s teams had games on December 18th (2018) against Roncallli Catholic. The boys won their game, while unfortunately the girls lost theirs. Good luck on the upcoming games, Trojans!

On December 18th (2018) there was a girl’s and boy’s swimming dual against Burke High school. The team did not win, but several swimmers improved their personal times. Senior swimmer Jacque McCullough broke two records this season for the girls 50 and 100 freestyle. Congratulations Jacque!

Platteview’s Boys Wrestling team had their first tournament on November 30th (2018) at Blair, where Elliot Steinhoff and Aiden Riha placed fourth. The boy’s wrestlers had a meet on December 14th (2018) at home, where Nicky Demonte placed second, Garrett Johnson placed third, and Elliot Steinhoff and Evan Vertuli placed fourth. The girl’s wrestling team was new to Platteview this year. At the Platteview Invite on December 14th (2018), Junior Britney Nolte was the first girl’s champion winning her division. They also competed at Nebraska City on December 17th (2018) with several wins. The boy’s last wrestling tournament of this semester will be on Friday December 22nd, 2018. Good luck boys!

Overall, Platteview’s winter sports have been doing well. We hope to see improvement and success among our Platteview Teams. Great job, Trojans!
