The Trojan Boys Wrestling team had a great showing for the Conference meet on January 25. They beat three ranked teams in the state: Class B #3, Class B #8 and Class C #7, pulling off some big wins and ending up winning the tournament as a team.

“The only two seniors, Nick [De Monte] and I, both won our brackets and were individual Conference Champions,” said Garrett Johnson.

This was the first time Platteview High School has won Conference as a team in school history, and the first time that Platteview has won a tournament as a team in over a decade.

The wrestling Trojans are looking toward higher goals and facing the rest of the season with determination.
