For students who love acting, One Act offers a place to hone their acting skills and have a great time with other actors. After winning the school’s first ever Trailblazer Conference victory with a recording of their performance, Platteview High School’s One Act participated in a live competition at Long Bend, on December 1st, to share their production of An Absolutely True Story (As Told By a Bunch of Lying Liars). At districts, One Act placed third in a very close competition, only two points away from getting first.

Platteview’s One Act has overcame many struggles with their efforts of staying safe while producing their play. Senior Justice Irvin (12) explains how One Act has learned to overcome character changes and quarantine. In addition, Tim Stork (11) explains how the crew of One Act have a large impact on the production. Though restrictions caused a difficult start, the One Act team pushed through to the end of their season with An Absolutely True Story (As Told By a Bunch of Lying Liars).
