In 2019-2020, the Class of 2023 were in their first year of high school. Some might say they have had an unusual high school experience: Covid, ChaptGPT, BeReal, TicTok, and so on. And with new experiences come new types of choices, decisions, and actions. Some good choices, some even better choices. So we asked some of the graduating seniors to reflect on the past few years and their experiences. More specifically, we asked them: “What advice would you give to your freshman self?”

Riley Howell: “Pay attention.”

Tyler Tolliver: “School’s gonna fly by.”

Kaden Nelson: “Start working early.”

Lillian Gregor: “Don’t be dumb.”

Jared Kuhl: “Take as many AP and dual credit classes as possible.”

Brandon Wyss: “Keep trying your best and work hard.”

Cael Wichman: “Stop procrastinating.”

Alex Draper: “Work hard.”
