Logan Nelson (a freshman at Platteview) is a student council member who feels very proud of her school.

How would you describe being a freshman in high school?
“I love being a freshman in high school, but I feel like I’m not as important as upperclassmen here.”

What is something you feel conflicted about at Platteview?
“The way the school board spends money at Platteview. I feel like we should focus on education and the
arts as well as sports.”

How comfortable do you feel sharing your political views at school?
“I feel comfortable, but I feel there are cases where I am looked down upon for my political views.”

Who are people that you look up to an why?
“I look up to teachers, especially Mrs.Ehrke because of her capability to transfer information to students.
Teachers are the back bone of school and society.”

What does your future look like?
“I am very excited for my future at Platteview and for how this school prepares me for college academics.”

What does it mean to be a Trojan?
“Diversity in what I spend my time on at Platteview and being proud of my school.”
