The Platteview High School office staff, Mrs. Harriman and Mrs. Nowka, often have their hands full with dealing with either parents checking on their kids or students coming in checking to see if they have missing assignments.

It’s difficult to work as an office staff, but there must be some way to deal with the stress Mrs.
Harriman and Mrs. Nowka answered some of these questions.

1.How do you deal with stress?
Mrs. Harriman: “By being friends and finding humor in the bad.”

2. Do you ever get frustrated at some students or parents.
Mrs. Harriman: “yes whenever the parents or students don’t know how to behave and treat us
nice.”

3. Do you ever get overwhelmed by the work.
Mrs. Harriman: “yes any given day hundreds of things so it can be very overwhelming.”

4. What does it mean to be a “Trojan”
“It means being proud of the school, proud of the sports, thinking of everyone as family, and loving everybody who goes to the school.”
