Now is the time when the fall sports and activities come to an end, and the winter seasons start. As new athletes set out to break new records, it is important to recognize the fall athletes who set the standard for this season. Athletes such as Brooklyn Kermmoade(11), Khloe Hartman(12), Kady Vanosdall(10), Logan Grosdidier(11) all made lasting impacts on our Platteview athletics this fall.
During the Cross Country season, Brooklyn Kermmoade achieved great achievements. She holds the all-time meet record for two different courses, medaling 15th at State, breaking Platteview records at six meets, and holding the fastest time ever at State in school history. Her consistency throughout the season helped lead her team and set the bar high for future runners.
Khloe Hartman also had strong accomplishments during her Softball season. Khloe was an All state Honorable mention, 2nd team all conference, and earned academic all recognition. Her ability to balance athletic performance with academic success both on and off the field.
During Kady Vanosdall’s volleyball season, she reached an incredible milestone of 1,000 Career assists and was named 2nd team all Conference. “I felt very proud, very accomplished, and I was thankful for my teammates,” Vanosdall said, her teamwork and leadership played a major role in the success of this season.
Lastly, football player Logan Grosdidier had an impressive season. He earned 1st team all-district honors, he threw 1,804 passing yards in a season, and had four touchdown passes in a single game. His performance helped lead the team and contribute to a strong season overall.
These athletes’ hard work, determination, and dedication are just a few reasons why Platteview athletics continue to stand out and thrive. Their achievements have made the school proud and set a strong foundation as we transition into winter sports.
